Elements and Principles of Design:
I belive that these are the little secret to creating artwork that the artist is happy with.
It's a great resource if your ever stuck on a piece and need some inspiration. They are the fundamentals behind good work. Even if an artist has not been exposed to the elements and principles of design, you will find most good work displays these features
Of course, some rules are meant to be broken, but one must know the rules, in order to break them.
