April 2009 -Present: part time Marketing Coordinator for Balcrank Corporation in Weaverville, NC. Balcrank is a 100 year old company firmly rooted in the automotive industry. I help with a variety of graphic & office support needs. This ranges from product photography, designing flyers, brochures, business cards, communications and support to our national field sales, database management, designing new cover for international catalog, maintaining 100 page catalog, update current website, currently working on new design for website, updated look for new product launch, true blue. Introduced Google sites, a secure log-in, free internet website to aid in communications between field sales, and also looking as a solution for various other needs within the company.

August 2008-April 2009: Certified KidzArt Instructor. Teach and manage art classes for an after school enrichment program for elementary school aged children. Also teaching classes in studio for workshops, and working with autistic children.


May 2008-April 2009t: part time substitute teacher within the Duval county school systems.


May 2007-Present: Freelancing under Studio 360 which consists of freelance Graphic Design, Web Design, Sign Design & Permitting. I complete many beautiful designs and layouts in both print and web, for a variety of client needs. Please visit my website in order to gain a full perspective of these services. I also perform many duties for a local independent State Certified Sign Contractor. This includes sign design, project management, & permitting. I coordinate between, customers, landlords, sign inspectors, engineers, architects, city officials, & sign manufacturers. I secure sign permits for individual customers, as well as several vinyl sign shops in the area who utilize his services. This requires extensive knowledge of the sign industry, the permitting process in several counties across North East Florida, GIS systems, Property Appraisers database, and Property Searches, Understanding and Interpreting City and County Ordinances, and Land Zoning Use & Regulations, Proper compilation of paperwork and documentation, which includes creating mounting diagrams & elevation drawings, obtaining proper engineering, and sign dimensions, as well as proper site plans and information from clients in order to satisfy the requirements of the city. I also assist with invoicing and collections, general office support, and other miscellaneous tasks. Because of my background in graphic design, effective communication skills, and recognizing the importance of building rapport with individuals involved in the process, I am able to secure the permit(s) almost always and in a very efficient manner. I am able to maintain our relationships, and effectively communicate to keep our positive reputation in the community in good standing and to always deliver quality product and services.


May 2007-September 2008: Bartender for Tootie Green’s Bar & Grille. I worked for a friend’s new restaurant offering stability, while they were establishing a core set of trustworthy employees, and new procedures, etc. I ran the cash register, served beer, wine and food, maintained positive relationships with the patrons. I would assist with cooking, wash dishes, bringing in supplies, cleaning, organizing etc. Handling accounts. I assisted with promotions, creating flyers, bringing in bands, networking; and creating a myspace page. This part time work enabled me to establish my freelance career.


December 2006 – May 2007: Was employed by Sun Sign Concepts, a network consisting of a wholesale channel manufacturing warehouse, and two vinyl shops. I pulled permits, completed incoming shop documents preparation for the digital router, assisted with general office duties, ordered supplies, consulted with installers, and other retail sign companies in the area whom used our services. I developed an organizational strategy for the warehouse office documents; I also developed new and better optimized order sheets for customers, in order to provide faster more accurate service by proper collection of important data.
I moved up into a Graphics and Production Manager position at the retail location. I ran a 28in vinyl plotter, a Sol Jet 52in digital printer with cut capabilities, handled very large volume of incoming orders, e-mails, calls, customers and constant team work with the production staff. I was able to explore and push Flexi Sign’s features. Including; working with the Sol Jet’s separate Rip and Print, utilizing my Graphic Design education to further understand how .EPS files, vector art, gradients, transparences, Pantone colors (on a non calibrated machine), integrated with the system at hand. I was able to implement new strategies for better and faster performance with the computer and machines, implementing more advanced design, and better effective strategies to handling the large volume of work in a timely manner, and improve turn around time.


June 2006 – December 2006: Employed as graphic designer/office assistant/permitting assistant, for Taylor Sign and Design Co. I was able to bring a fresh approach to handling vector graphics, implementing specifically the pen tool capabilities to illustrate any artwork needed for vinyl cut application. This new approach decreased much of the time spent waiting for customers to submit appropriate artwork for their graphics, when none could be found. When business slowed down, Taylor signs made the decision that I would serve better employed at their wholesale manufacturer, whose disorganization and need for a person in the office, was negavitly affecting their production time.


January - March 2006: Riverside Ave Christian Church; Was Art Instructor for after school program for children ages 3rd to 7th grade
July 2005: Jewish Community Alliance; Art Instructor for day campers ranging from K to 6th grade.


Summer 2004: Completed Internship with Comcast Spotlight Promotions Department. I updated Monthly Newsletter, completed Web Banners, Promotional Flyers, and Materials.
